Workshop Dates and Venues

We would like to thank all applicants for the many workshop proposals submitted. We accepted as many workshops as possible within the available program space, and we appreciate the time and effort contributed by all organizers.

Workshops will be held on April 7 and April 11. Please note that the venues differ by date, as follows:

  • April 7: Hotel Kanazawa, 2F, 4F, 5F
  • April 11: Kanazawa Institute of Technology (KIT, Ohgigaoka Campus), Bldg. 23, 1F–4F

The accepted workshops are listed below. Workshops are categorized as either full-day or half-day. For half-day workshops, the schedule is further specified as either a morning or afternoon session in addition to the date.

Access to Kanazawa Institute of Technology (KIT, Ohgigaoka Campus)

The venue is Building 23.

By train (about 40 minutes):

  1. Take the IR Ishikawa Railway from Kanazawa Station toward Fukui and get off at Nishi-Kanazawa Station
  2. Walk to Shin-Nishi-Kanazawa Station and transfer to the Hokuriku Railroad Ishikawa Line bound for Tsurugi
  3. Get off at Nonoichi-Kōdaimae Station and walk about 10 minutes to KIT

By Hokuriku Railroad Bus (about 40 minutes)

From Kanazawa Station, go to the East Exit bus terminal and take a direct Hokuriku Railroad bus bound for Kanazawa Institute of Technology. Buses with route numbers 33, 39, 49, and some other routes go directly to the university. Please check the destination display on the front of the bus and make sure it says “Kanazawa Institute of Technology (金沢工業大学前).” Get off at the bus stop “Kanazawa Institute of Technology,” which is located directly in front of the campus.

By taxi (about 30 minutes)

Approx. 30 minutes fare = approx. 2,500 yen

Workshop Schedule

  • 8:45 AM – 12:30 PM Morning Session (with a coffee break)
  • 12:30 PM – 1:45 PM Lunch Break
  • 1:45 PM – 5:30 PM Afternoon Session (with a coffee break)

Coffee Breaks: Start times and duration are managed by each workshop organizer. There are no mandatory coffee break times for all workshops.

Equipment: Organizers must apply to the committee for panels or fixtures (for poster sessions/hands-on workshops).

Please note that the poster size for workshop poster sessions differs by venue:

  • April 9 (Hotel Kanazawa): A0, portrait (841 × 1189 mm)
  • April 11 (Kanazawa Institute of Technology): A1, portrait (594 × 841 mm)

WiFi Options: The hotel Wi-Fi is available, but not suitable for large file transfers or video streaming. We plan to provide a separate guest Wi-Fi for organizers.

Lunch Options: There are many restaurants around Kanazawa Station, and we recommend stepping out from Hotel Kanazawa to enjoy them. However, lunch hours can be very crowded, so if you prefer to avoid the rush, please consider bringing a light meal or snack with you.

Venue

WiFi Options: eduroam is available. Please make sure your account is set up in advance. We plan to provide a separate guest Wi-Fi for organizers.

Lunch Options: For lunch on the workshop day, participants may use the campus cafeterias located in Building 21. LA TERRA, situated on the first floor, is the largest cafeteria on campus and offers a wide variety of dishes throughout the day.
