Call for ZooQuarium Exhibits

Overview

ZooQuarium is a special exhibition option within the poster session at RoboSoft 2026. It allows authors to present physical soft robotic systems through live, in-person demonstrations. This is the first RoboSoft category that explicitly supports live demonstrations as an official presentation format.

For the poster presentation, authors may choose either the standard poster format or the ZooQuarium poster format. This option is available for both contributed papers and extended abstracts.

For contributed papers, the oral presentation (short or long) remains unchanged regardless of the poster format selected.

What Is ZooQuarium?

ZooQuarium format can be compared with a standard poster presentation as follows.

  • Standard poster presentation: poster panel only
  • ZooQuarium presentation: booth with a wider poster panel, a table, and access to electrical power

Application

Authors wishing to present a live demonstration must apply using the form below and provide a brief description of their exhibit.

For Contributed Papers:

For Extended Abstracts:

Due to the limited number of ZooQuarium booths, a brief selection may be conducted if many applications are received.

Scope of Exhibits

ZooQuarium (Zoo + Aquarium) is well suited for terrestrial, aquatic, and flying soft robots, but its scope is not limited to such bio-inspired robots. Acceptable exhibits include, but are not limited to:

  • actuators and sensors
  • grippers and manipulators
  • wearable devices
  • 3D printed structures

Important Notes
