Getting to Kanazawa
Quick Advice
- From nearby countries → Direct flight to Komatsu Airport (KMQ), then a 40-min bus to Kanazawa Station.
- Stay in Tokyo first? → Take the Shinkansen at Tokyo Station.
- Landing at Haneda? → You can take a domestic flight to Komatsu (about 1 hour), or use rail to central Tokyo (30-min) and then the Shinkansen from Tokyo Station.
- Landing at Narita? → First go to Tokyo Station (about 1.5 hours), then transfer to the Shinkansen.
- From Osaka/Kyoto: Take the Thunderbird, then transfer to the Shinkansen at Tsuruga Station.
Note: Kanazawa is a major stop but not the final stop for many trains. Please watch for your stop.
From Tokyo
Hokuriku Shinkansen (Bullet Train) — Recommended
- Duration: Approx. 2.5 hours from Tokyo Station.
- Pros:
- No airport security; high frequency (every 20–30 mins).
- Direct access: The venue is at Kanazawa Station.
From Osaka / Kyoto
Travelers transfer at Tsuruga. Take the Limited Express (Osaka/Kyoto → Tsuruga), then Hokuriku Shinkansen (Tsuruga → Kanazawa). Fastest journey time is about 2 hr 30 min. Services are frequent throughout the day.
Visa Application
If you require a Letter of Invitation or other supporting documents for your visa application to be submitted to a consulate, please contact the travel agency that operates the conference registration website. We offer a paid document preparation service, with a service fee of JPY 10,000 charged as an administrative handling fee; we appreciate your understanding.
Requests for visa application documents will open at the same time as the conference registration website. Once the site is open, requests should be submitted by email. As part of the process, you will be asked to provide your personal information and complete the required forms, and payment will be processed through the registration website after your request is received.
