Presentation Instructions

Program Schedule

The detailed technical program is currently under construction and will be announced in mid March.

Presentation Format Overview

Contributed Papers

To maximize interaction between presenters and the audience, all accepted contributed papers will be presented in a combined oral and poster format. Authors of contributed papers should prepare both an oral presentation and a poster.

Depending on the final program structure, oral presentations may be scheduled in either single-track or multi-track (parallel) sessions, and will not include a Q&A session. Oral presentations are 5 minutes in the multi-track sessions and 8 minutes in the single-track sessions.

The presentation slides (PowerPoint format) will be collected approximately 10 days before the conference. Further details will be provided in a separate announcement.

Extended Abstracts

Extended abstracts are presented as poster presentations only.

Award Nominees

Papers nominated for awards will have oral presentations in the single-track award session. Nominees will be contacted separately.

  • Contributed paper nominees: 8-minute oral presentation + poster presentation
  • Extended abstract nominees: 5-minute oral presentation + poster presentation

Poster Presentation

Main Conference

Each contributed paper will be presented during a dedicated 60-minute poster session, scheduled after the corresponding oral presentation session. Extended abstracts appear only in the poster session and do not have a corresponding pitch or flash talk.

For the poster presentation, authors may choose either the standard poster format or the ZooQuarium poster format. The ZooQuarium option is available for both contributed papers and extended abstracts. If you wish to present a live physical exhibit in the ZooQuarium format, please submit your application by the deadline.

Please ensure that the poster is created so that its maximum size does not exceed A0 in portrait orientation, with a width of 841 mm and a height of 1189 mm. Please clearly display the title of your submitted paper on the poster without modification, and present the content of your work in a clear and accessible manner using photos, diagrams, and data plots. The same applies to ZooQuarium presentations.

Workshops

Please note that the poster size for workshop poster sessions differs by venue:

  • April 9 (Hotel Kanazawa): A0, portrait (841 × 1189 mm)
  • April 11 (Kanazawa Institute of Technology): A1, portrait (594 × 841 mm)

Poster Printing Services

The organizing committee does not assist with poster printing. We also cannot arrange, recommend, or endorse any printing services. Instead of bringing a printed poster with you, if you would like to receive your poster near the conference venue, you may use a local poster printing service.

For example, you may find a poster printing service near the venue; this provider appears to have an English website and a branch in Kanazawa Korinbo. Please submit your poster PDF in advance before you arrive in Japan and arrange to collect it at the store at your own responsibility. Please note that the organizers cannot assist with arranging poster printing services, and cannot help if the printing is delayed or if there are any errors in the poster size or content.
